A few quick steps to secure access and connect your charger. You can fine-tune everything else from the main dashboard once setup is done.
The setup wizard needs JavaScript to validate inputs and apply the configuration. Please enable JavaScript and reload this page.
Secure access to Phaeton with a unique password.
Select your charger, or choose the dummy adapter to try Phaeton for free. Don't have the charger's details at hand? Choose Skip for now.
Setup finishes without connecting a charger. Afterwards, choose Change charger to select it.
The dummy adapter needs no license and no physical charger. Controls are simulated and draw no power. You can select a physical charger later; a physical charger needs a license.
Requires internet, an API service account and owner/service access to this charger. Readings refresh every 30 seconds. Cloud outages can prevent stopping. Lifetime energy and phase switching are unavailable.
Select the exact model. Use an account approved for this installation; commercial access has separate vendor requirements. Authorization is optional and conflicts with RFID vehicle identification. The optional smart charging light is blue in Auto and Scheduled mode and white in Manual; turning it blue turns off charging plans set in the Easee app. Resume can wait for enough current budget. Internet is required; outages can prevent stopping. Phase switching is unavailable.
Leave both blank if charger authentication is disabled.
Peblar firmware 1.6 or later. Enable Modbus ReadWrite access in the charger, use the Default charging strategy, and set fallback current to 0 A. Confirm the charger IP address and TCP port, normally 502. Set installation limits for your model. Phase switching is unavailable.
Meter-equipped Bender CC612/CC613 with the modern Bender Modbus map. Enable Modbus TCP control. For dual connectors use port 502 or 503. Confirm charger-side fallback settings; phase switching is unavailable.
Meter-equipped KEBA P30 c/x-series or P40/P40 Pro. Enable Modbus, set EMS failsafe current to 0 A and timeout to 30–600 seconds. Phase switching is unavailable.
The charger's address on your network, for example 192.168.1.50.
Phaeton is not running on your Victron GX, so the GX can take over Auto charging only once Phaeton is paired with it (Venus OS 3.80 or later). For that, choose Controlled by the Victron GX here and enter the GX address; after you finish, choose Pair with GX on the Victron GX page in Settings. Without pairing, choose Battery-powered or Feed-in; after you finish, choose Legacy Modbus under Charger connection to GX on that page and add Phaeton in the GX's Modbus Devices settings.
This choice applies in Auto mode and does not start charging. You can change it later in Settings under Auto mode.
Connect to the MQTT service on your GX. Use 127.0.0.1 when Phaeton runs on that GX. The GX takes over once a GX feature such as Dynamic ESS controls the charger.
Read live solar, grid, and battery measurements for the dashboard and Auto mode. Auto mode needs these readings unless the Victron GX controls charging.
Phaeton reads this data over its MQTT connection to the GX.
Phaeton will save the configuration and ask you to sign in with the credentials you just chose.
Optional. Allow Phaeton to store and send small daily summaries of charger compatibility, reliability, performance, feature use, setup and update outcomes. No device identifiers, raw logs, charging schedules or energy readings. Leave unchecked to keep sharing off. You can withdraw your choice and preview reports in Settings › System. Charging and licensing are unaffected. Privacy information
